I am sad to say that this blog has come to its end. It will stay as it is—I will leave the posts up for the sake of posterity—but it will not be updated any longer. I simply don't have the heart to continue it. My dear friend, and co-founder of this blog, Aurora, died on December 12, 2011. This is a blog we created, maintained, and loved together. Without her, it can't be the same, and frankly, I can hardly bear to look at it, let alone write for it.

So this is it. To the (entirely theoretical) readers who might stumble upon this blog by accident or boredom or serendipity, I hope you enjoy what's here.
